Choctaw Landing Hosts Grand Opening Celebration in Hochatown
Choctaw Landing, the latest luxury resort and casino by the Choctaw Nation, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday morning in Hochatown, Oklahoma. This new 100-room resort had its soft opening on April 3, with the official ceremony held on May 23.
The ribbon-cutting event was led by Chief Gary Batton of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, with approximately 300 attendees present. Chief Batton emphasized the significance of merging cultural heritage with economic growth for both tribal members and local residents.

An upgraded Steam Deck may be coming, but don’t expect anything until late 2025 at the earliest. Valve engineer Pierre-Loup Griffais told The Verge that the company wanted to upgrade the Deck’s performance without sacrificing its battery life, which may not yet be possible.
Another concern Griffais raised is around brand messaging. A higher-performance Steam Deck could play games that the current Steam Deck can’t, which could cause problems with both developers and customers.
